Exemptions
There is a facility for a learner to claim exemption from some of the achievement requirements of a QCF qualification, using evidence of certificated, non-QCF achievement deemed to be of equivalent value.
WAMITAB has considered the acceptable units which candidates may have achieved within the NQF Statutory Scheme NVQ's and has produced a table of exempt units. This table shows the units which can be claimed as an exemption against QCF units which appear in the Statutory Scheme qualifications.
This table is not exhaustive and where Centres are able to present a previous certificated achievement from a candidate, WAMITAB will review the units involved and make a decision as to whether it can be deemed as an exemption. Once agreed, these will all be added to the exemption table.
